Zimbabwe develops gas industry

Zimbabwe's Energy and Power Development Minister Julai Moyo, speaking at the Nigeria’s Oil & Gas Energy Week in Abuja, said that Zimbabwe is starting to develop natural gas in the Muzarabani field.
Large reserves of hydrocarbons, including oil, have been discovered in Muzarabani, but natural gas production is a priority. The gas will be used to feed power plants, produce ammonia and fertilizers, as well as to produce liquefied natural gas and sell it on the domestic market.
The Australian company Invictus Energy has already conducted exploratory drilling and is currently preparing to launch a pilot gas-to-power project involving Eureka Gold Mine.
