Tanzania launched a digital system for managing land resources
The e-Ardhi digital system, developed by the Ministry of Land Resources of Tanzania, enables citizens to access land‑related services and sign documents confirming land ownership in any region of the country.
The e-Ardhi system is a digital platform for managing land resources in Tanzania. It covers the functions of planning, land surveying, distribution, registration and valuation of land plots, which were previously carried out on paper and linked to the region where the title was issued.
As part of a large‑scale programme to move land‑related services to a remote format with access via phone and the internet, the Ministry is also expanding the range of related digital tools, including a mobile app for submitting complaints and applications regarding land disputes.
