Rwanda’s GDP grew by 9.4%
According to data published on September 15, 2026, by the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), the country’s economy grew by 9.4% year‑on‑year in the second quarter of 2026, compared to 7.8% a year earlier.
At current market prices, GDP amounted to 7,174 billion Rwandan francs (4.86 billion US dollars), compared to 5,799 billion Rwandan francs (3.93 billion US dollars) in the same quarter of 2025.
The industry demonstrated the highest growth — 18 %, the service sector grew by 7 %, and agriculture by 4 %. The most important industries are mining (+26%), construction (+24%), and manufacturing (+10%).
