Plastic in Ghana will be used as fuel

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly has signed an agreement with Numatter Recycling Technologies Limited (NRTL) to build Ghana's first industrial plant for pyrolysis of plastic into fuel.
The new plant, designed as a continuous production facility, will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will process more than 100 tons of plastic waste daily into gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and activated carbon.
The project will create about 1,500 direct and indirect jobs in the fields of collection, sorting, transportation, logistics, technical operations and enterprise management.
