Oil production company established in Côte d'Ivoire

At a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Côte d’Ivoire, a decree was adopted to establish the oil production company PETROCI CI‑26, which will be a subsidiary of the state holding company.

The new company is tasked with operating the historic oil block CI‑26, corresponding to the Espoir field, after the rights of the previous operators expire.

This strategic decision by the authorities of Côte d’Ivoire is aimed at strengthening the country’s national energy sovereignty and control over its oil assets.
