Nigeria to modernize African aviation

Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development of Nigeria, presented the $7 billion Integrated Aviation Transformation Program (IATP) at the African Development Bank forum.
The program includes airport modernization, improved flight safety, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced regional connectivity across Africa.
Speaking at the forum, the Minister spoke about the ongoing reforms and investment opportunities in the aviation sector in Nigeria and suggested spreading the positive experience to other African countries.
The leadership of the African Development Bank supported the initiative of the Nigerian Minister, who will now be responsible on behalf of the Bank for the implementation of the Program on the continent and coordinate the policy of African States in the field of aviation.
