Graphite processing plant to be built in Tanzania

MeTL Group plans to commission a graphite processing plant in Tanzania next year. The capacity of the enterprise will be 50,000 tons per year.
Graphite is a strategic mineral that is valued for its electrical conductivity and heat resistance. It is widely used in lithium-ion battery anodes, refractory materials, lubricants and electrodes.
Africa contains about 24% of the world's known reserves of natural graphite. The largest deposits on the continent are located in Madagascar, Mozambique and Tanzania.
