Children to draw Africa

 

 

During the VI International Festival of African Culture AFROFEST 2026, which will be held in Moscow from August 3 to 23, 2026 and on the eve of the Third Russia-Africa Summit, Africa Consulting Company organizes the International Children's Drawing Contest "Draw Africa".

 

The purpose of the contest is to promote the development of intercultural and interethnic communication between children and youth through creativity, fostering understanding and respect for the cultural traditions of other nations among the younger generation, and willingness to maintain friendship and cooperation with representatives of different countries.

 

Children and teenagers aged 6 to 17 from the regions of the Russian Federation and African countries can participate in the competition. The theme of the drawings is free (Africa in all its diversity: landscape, wildlife, people, cities and villages, industry and agriculture, holidays and traditions, fairy tales, cultural heritage sites).

 

The competition accepts works made on paper, cardboard or canvas in the technique of painting or graphics using various artistic materials: paints (watercolor, gouache, oil), pencils (plain, colored), pastels, chalk, charcoal etc.

 

The winners will be awarded with diplomas of I, II, III degrees, valuable prizes and gifts. In addition, the best competitive works will be presented at the exhibition as part of the cultural program of the Third Russia-Africa Summit (Moscow, October 28-29, 2026).
